New Comics Wednesday

Wednesday is new comic book day and each week I’ll be sharing a list of my recommendations. A couple years ago I re-discovered my love of comic books, mostly due to my purchase of an iPad and the free Comixology app (iOS/Android/Kindle Fire). Reading comics on a tablet may not be for everyone, but it’s perfect for a lazy bastard like me. Here’s my picks for this week. @radurader

Batman #16 (DC)

Batman heads into his showdown with The Joker as the madman’s plan is finally revealed! And in the backup story, in the midst of The Joker’s assault on Batman and his allies, get a secret glimpse into what started The Clown Prince of Crime on his horrifying journey! “Death of the Family” part 4.

I only read a few “super hero” books on a regular basis, but a Batman book written by Scott Snyder (American Vampire) and pencilled by Greg Capullo (Spawn) is impossible to ignore.

Saga #9 (Image)

The Will finally has a good day.

Saga can be described as Romeo & Juliet meets Star Wars. Written by Brian K. Vaughan (Y: The Last Man) and art by Fiona Staples, Saga is hands down my favorite new series from last year.
